Cosmetic Methods of Artificial Skin Repair
There exist different methods of cosmetic surgery, but what they have in common is one purpose.
They exist to improve self confidence in the person going through the procedure. These kinds of surgeries can be major or minor. For example, a botox treatment does not require hospitalization and its process takes less than an hour. A tummy tuck does require hospitalization and takes up to two hours or more.
Here we will talk about these cosmetic methods of artificial skin repair, major and minor treatments and how they affect the skin.
Surgical Concerns
You may think that everybody who wants cosmetic surgery is able to have it. It is not that simple, the candidate must have realistic expectation and be conscious of the process. This makes it a long process (for major cosmetic surgeries). Sometimes in order to get the best results, it is necessary to repeat the process more that once (botox and others minor treatments).
There are many things to take into account. For example, if a candidate has a serious emotional problem or has unrealistic expectations regarding the results of the surgery, it is necessary to address those issues before going under the knife. The candidate must be conscious that the surgical procedure is not just an easy way to a permanent change. It is a medical procedure that needs follow up advice, treatment, and instructions.
What can be considered as a minor cosmetic surgery are those that no need general anesthesia procedures and take no longer than an hour (classification not based on medical advice). We will look at three types to review all the possibilities of improvements and corrections that cosmetic surgery offers: Microdermabrasion, Botox, and Collagen treatment.
Microdermabrasion: Also called “lunch-time” peel, is a skin-freshening technique that removes the most superficial layer of the skin. You can get a microdermabrasion treatment at a spa or at a doctors office depending of the machinery and tools used. Basically it is a sandblasting process mixing gentle abrasion with suction to remove dead cells and the outer layer of skin. It improves sun spots, acne scars, and fine wrinkles. This process is quick and harmless and you can get back to your daily routine immediately. To achieve better results, you must do the process more that once (4-8 times with 1-2 weeks intervals).
Botox: (botulinum toxin) This is a process where the toxin blocks the nerve impulses, temporarily paralyzing the muscles that cause wrinkles while giving the skin a smoother, more refreshed appearance. This non surgical injection temporarily reduces or eliminates frown lines, forehead creases, crow's feet near the eyes, and thick bands in the neck.
Collagen: This injectable filler is similar to a Botox injection but instead of using botulinum toxin, it uses collagen. It is used to plump wrinkles and lines between the eyebrows, lines between the nose and lips, and also for lips augmentation. Recovery process is just a day and you can get back to your daily routine. Some testing is needed before getting the infection to determine the chances of having any allergic reaction. Like other treatments, collagen is a temporary method so repeated treatments are necessary.
What we consider a major cosmetic surgery are those that require general anesthesia procedures and take longer than an hour and require hospitalization (classification not based in medical advice). We will select just three types to review all the possibilities of improvements and corrections that cosmetic surgery offers: Face Lift, Breast Enlargement, and Liposuction.
Face Lift: (rhytidectomy)
This surgery is common for people in their forties to sixties, but facelifts can be done successfully on people in their seventies and eighties as well. Facelifts improve the most visible signs of aging and gravity consequences by removing excess fat, tightening underlying muscles, and re-draping the skin of your face and neck. This process is performed by a plastic surgeon and hospitalization is required. The healing process varies according to each persons healing abilities (poor healing of the skin is most likely an affect of smoking). Generally complications are infrequent and usually minor.
Incisions usually begin above the hairline at the temples, extend in a natural line in front of the ear (or just inside the cartilage at the front of the ear), and continue behind the earlobe to the lower scalp. If the neck needs work, a small incision may also be made under the chin.
Breast Enlargement: ( augmentation, mammoplasty)
This procedure can be used as a reconstructive technique following breast surgery. There are many cosmetic reasons to get the surgery. Balancing a difference in breast size or enhancing the body contour of a woman who, for personal reasons, feels her breast size is too small are the most common reasons. It is imperative to get an evaluation from your plastic surgeon and his or her team to decide if your expectations are realistic.
The surgery itself is an insertion of a silicone or saline solution implant directly under the breast tissue or beneath the chest wall muscle. But as with any operation, there are risks associated with surgery and specific complications associated with this procedure.
Risks and complications
The most common problem, capsular contracture, occurs if the scar or capsule around the implant begins to tighten. This squeezing of the soft implant can cause the breast to feel hard. Capsular contracture can be treated in several ways, and sometimes requires either removal or "scoring" of the scar tissue, or perhaps removal or replacement of the implant.
A small percentage of women develop an infection around an implant. This may occur at any time, but is most often seen within a week after surgery. In some cases, the implant may need to be removed for several months until the infection clears. A new implant can then be inserted.
Some women report that their nipples become oversensitive, under-sensitive, or even numb. You may also notice small patches of numbness near your incisions. These symptoms usually disappear over time, but may be permanent in some patients.
Liposuction (Lipoplasty or Suction Lipectomy)
This surgery is a procedure that removes fat from different areas of the body including the abdomen, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, upper arms, chin, cheeks, and neck. No type of liposuction is a substitute for dieting and exercise. Liposuction can remove stubborn areas of fat that don't respond to traditional weight-loss methods.
As with other plastic surgeries, you must have realistic expectations of the process because a surgery can enhance your appearance and self confidence, but it won't necessarily change your looks to match your ideal or cause other people to treat you differently.
The time required to perform liposuction may vary considerably, depending on the size of the area, the amount of fat being removed, the type of anesthesia, and the technique used. Through a tiny incision, a narrow tube or cannula is inserted and used to vacuum the fat layer that lies deep beneath the skin. The cannula is pushed then pulled through the fat layer, breaking up the fat cells and suctioning them out. The suction action is provided by a vacuum pump or a large syringe, depending on the surgeon's preference. If many sites are being treated, your surgeon will then move on to the next area, working to keep the incisions as inconspicuous as possible.
Risks and complications
Liposuction carries greater risk for individuals with medical problems such as diabetes, significant heart or lung disease, poor blood circulation, or those who have recently had surgery near the area to be contoured.
Risks increase if a greater number of areas are treated at the same time, or if the operative sites are larger in size. Removal of a large amount of fat and fluid may require longer operating times than may be required for smaller operations.
The scars from liposuction are small and strategically placed to be hidden from view. However, imperfections in the final appearance are not uncommon after lipoplasty. The skin surface may be irregular, asymmetric, or even "baggy," especially in older patients. Numbness and pigmentation changes may occur. Sometimes, additional surgery may be recommended.
Post surgery recovery
Healing is a gradual process. Your surgeon will probably tell you to start walking around as soon as possible to reduce swelling and to help prevent blood clots from forming in your legs. You will begin to feel better after about a week or two and you should be back at work within a few days following your surgery. The stitches are removed or dissolve on their own within the first week to 10 days.
Activity that is more strenuous should be avoided for about a month as your body continues to heal. Although most of the bruising and swelling usually disappears within three weeks, some swelling may remain for six months or more.
Natural Cosmetic Method an Alternative Procedure of Skin Repair
The active element in the cream is a natural biological ingredient, collected from live land snails, the same they use to quickly repair their own skin and shell when damaged. It is contained in the mucin secreted by the snails, and gathered through a process that is safe for them. It is a viscose liquid that is made into an odorless white cream with no alien or synthetic chemicals.Analysis of the mucin has determined that it contains activators of skin growth factors and antimicrobial peptides. Also present are natural anti-inflammatory and immune modulating proteins, glycoproteins, glycosaminoglycans that tightly binds divalent cations, such as copper (II), and acharan sulfate glycosaminoglycan (GAG), as a protein-free polysaccharide.
Of course we can not compare the process of a liposuction or a facelift, but we can help the scar healing process left by the surgery. We can also help reduce the appearance of the wrinkles as a natural microdermabrasion and reduce the appearance of acne scars or sun spots and other skin conditions.
BIOSKINREPAIR ™ Action
Action on Scar Healing Process
The removal or reduction of scars depends on a process called "skin remodeling". The skin is designed to heal wounds quickly in order to prevent blood loss and infection. Scars are manufactured from a rapidly formed "collagen glue" that the body deposits into an injured area for protection and strength. In ideal skin healing, wounded skin is rapidly closed, and then the healed area is slowly reconstructed to remove the residual collagen scars and blend the skin area into nearby skin. Scar collagen is removed and replaced with a mixture of skin cells and invisible collagen fibers. This remodeling may continue in a skin area for ten years.
In children, the remodeling rate is high and scars are usually rapidly removed from injured skin areas. But as we reach adulthood, this rate diminishes and small scars may remain for years. One way to accelerate remodeling is to induce a small amount of controlled skin damage with a needle, laser, acid, or other means, and then let the body repair processes rebuild the skin area.
With cosmetic surgery, it is important that your surgeon assess the possibility of keloid appearance, because the skin repair action and the skin healing process after a surgery can make the difference between a good result and a poor one. Here is where Natural BIOSKINREPAIR ™ acts.
The Bioactive Ingredients in BIOSKINREPAIR ™ Act As:
(4a) proteins produced by the human body that enable cells to communicate and effectively coordinate activities between one another (growth factors),
(4b) intracellular messenger molecules whose major function is to attract immune cells to sites of infection (chemokines), and
(4c) as regulatory proteins released by cells of the immune system that act as intercellular mediators in the generation of an immune response (cytokines).
The mucin contains an antibacterial glycoprotein that acts as a humoral defense factor. It has L-amino acid oxidase activity and can generate cytotoxic H(2)O(2) hydrogen peroxide; however, the concentration of H(2)O(2) is not sufficient to kill bacteria.
Immunochemical analysis revealed that the glycoprotein is preferentially bound to growth-phase bacteria, accounting for its important role in growth-phase-dependent antibacterial activity. Thus the glycoprotein acts as an important defense molecule against invading bacteria.
BIOSKINREPAIR ™ Natural Action on Wrinkles & Acne Scars
Double blind studies comparing placebo to the active product on one side of the face compared to the other using objective techniques to measure wrinkle depth have shown improving in this parameter as well as skin smoothness, suppleness and reduction of hiperpigmentation in more than 80% of subjects studied. Most people have seen results in as little as two weeks when they have applied BIOSKINREPAIR ™ CREAM twice a day every day.
Topical application of BIOSKINREPAIR ™ is also a potent message that signals to your system that it is being taking care off in a balanced and proper way, with all the ingredients that help it accelerate the natural skin renewal process.
Application of the cream night and day for a period of 2 months yields(I) Decrease in wrinkle depth, (II) Increase in collagen and elastin from within the deep layers of the skin, improving skin firmness, (III) Improvement of the water holding capacity of healthy skin, reducing sagging and fragility, (IV) Reduction of age spots, dark pigmentation, hyperpigmentation, and melasma, (V) Restoration of the natural skin color of those affected by hiperpigmentation, in people of all skin colors including African, Asian, & Latin.
